Met this woman today here in Rwanda. She is a widow. Both her husband and children were killed in the genocide.
Since then she has found hope through the sponsorship program with ERM Rwanda and is now making crafts along with many other widows to sell to support themselves.

Nyamata Genocide Memorial site. Thousands of Rwandans sought refuge at a church in Nyamata and the pastor called the Hutus to tell them they were there. These people were raped and brutally murdered.
We walked down into the burial site where there were thousands of these skulls and other human bones.
